Progeny MFA adds to authentication security by sending a timed verification code to the user’s email address within his or her Progeny profile. If the code is not entered within 5 minutes it will expire, and a new code must be requested.
Before you start, make sure your email address is added to your user Profile within Progeny. The verification code will be sent to this email address.

- In order to enable Progeny MFA, it must be enabled in the web application configuration screen under the Web Configuration Parameters module.

- Select the MFA_ENABLE option, then enter either 1 or 2 in the Value field above:
0 disables MFA
1 turns on MFA for all users including the progeny superuser account
2 turns on MFA for all users excluding the progeny superuser account

- Go to your login page, enter your credentials, and click Login.
A pop-up will prompt you to send a Verification Code to your email. Click Send. - The pop-up will now prompt you to enter the Verification Code, warning that it will expire in 5 minutes. Enter the code and click Verify.
- You will be logged into the Progeny application.
