Progeny OpenJDK Install/Update

Install 

1. Navigate to https://adoptium.net/en-GB/temurin/releases/?version=8&os=windows 

2. Ensure to select JDK x64 .MSI file and start download.  

3. Open installer either through downloads in the browser or via file explorer and click next to start installation. 

4. Accept license agreement, click next. 

5. Install for all users of this machine, click next. 

6. Location should already be determined, click next. 

7. Click install. 

Update – Please advise the client that this requires brief downtime 

To update OpenJDK, please follow the installation instructions above then proceed to the steps below. 

1. Navigate to the Tomcat file path C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 9.0_Tomcat9.X.XXX\bin 

2. Double-click the Tomcat daemon Tomcat9.X.XXX w 

3. Under the Java tab you will need to browse to point Tomcat to the correct file path.  

4. Navaigate to this Eclipse Adoptium file path C:\Program Files\Eclipse Adoptium\jdk-8.0.462.8-hotspot\jre\bin\server and select jvm.dll and click OPEN 

5. Restart Tomcat
